SPI to evaluate the impact of Chinese regulations on US plastic scrap industry

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): SPI-The Plastics Industry Trade Association has decided to host a webinar Sept 4, 2014 at 2 PM EDT to focus on the impacts of Chinese Green Fence regulations on the US Plastic scrap recycling industry.

The webinar will provide detailed information and news on how Chinese regulations had affected plastic scrap exports from the US to that country. It will also discuss the various ways to equip US scrap exporting companies to stay ahead of the unpredictable regulatory actions by the Chinese authorities.

The 60-minute program will discuss key issues such as export capability of US firms, emergence of Southeast Asian markets and scope of infrastructure investment and capacity expansion by US companies.

The webinar is titled “Ripples Across the Pacific: How the Changing Chinese Export Market Has Shaped the U.S. Recycling Industry”. It is free to all SPI members. Non-members can join the webinar by paying registration fees of $45. Webinar presenters include industry veterans including Xavier Cronin and David Kaplan.
