ELECTRONICS RECYCLING

St Louis Recycling and Waste Solutions was formed as a way to give back to the community and the entire world. That is why we offer recycling programs for electronics, batteries and fluorescent light bulbs. We feel these programs are important because:

• Fluorescent bulbs and CFL’s contain mercury which is poisonous to the environment.
• Electronic devices contain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury, barium and lithium.
• The average computer screen has five to eight pounds or more of lead representing 40 percent of all the lead in US landfills.
• The effects of heavy metals leaching into our soil and water supply include tumors, mental health disorders, cancer, birth defects and damage to the brain, heart, liver, kidney and skeletal system. They also significantly affect the nervous and reproductive systems of the human body.

BALED CARDBOARD, PLASTIC, TEXTILE & PAPER

The amount of cardboard, paper and plastic we use today is staggering. Sadly, the majority of these recyclable products end up in landfills. Recycling compactors and balers for sale or lease

We sell and lease recycling compactors and balers to make recycling your cardboard products easier. Compacted and baled cardboard requires less storage space and saves money by allowing you to recycle a larger amount of material at one time. We install and maintain the equipment and haul away the compacted and baled cardboard for recycling.For large producers of OCC (Old Corrugated Cardboard), we use a logistics provider to send in a 53’ tractor trailer for them to load the baled OCC. It is then delivered straight to one of our preferred fiber pulping mills. For full trailer loads we pay our clients an agreed-upon percentage of the monthly market rates for OCC. Recycling dumpsters and bulk box rentals

If compacting and baling your cardboard does not meet your needs, we can provide a recycling dumpster. Or you can rent one of our bulk boxes. This is a 3.5’ high corrugated fiberboard box used for storage. It fits on a pallet for easy movement and storage. We are the only known provider in St. Louis for this type of loose cardboard recycling service.

Full-service trash and recycling

We also recycle paper, empty plastic containers (labeled #1-7) and textiles through our single stream recycling service. Single stream recycling means you don’t have to sort the paper products from the glass, plastic and metal. Everything goes into one bin for convenient pick up.
