Working to Save You Money
Our fees are often 12% – 15% lower than our largest competitor. We work diligently to hold our costs down in what is arguably the toughest physical environment for a company such as ours. Distance plays a very impactful role in the cost of our services. We are further away from key materials processing facilities and from vital part and repair houses. We all know that the cost of living in our beloved mountains is higher than a community at lower elevation and closer to population centers, but the lure of our special place keeps us all focused on providing value. Diesel
Fuel Costs and Fuel Surcharges
Our trucks operate at higher elevations than most trucks, and require the added torque and power that diesel engines provide. We pay more for diesel fuel than any other area of the state. It is our business to make house calls, and diesel fuel is a vital and significant component of our service costs. We do not control the cost of diesel fuel, but we must manage its impact. Therefore, we include a fuel surcharge in our delivery of services to you. We track the price per gallon of on highway diesel fuel for the Rocky Mountain Region on the Federal web site and raise or lower our fuel surcharge accordingly. That said, our fuel surcharges are usually less than that of our competitors. Click here for a more thorough explanation of our fees.
Local Connections
People are drawn to the natural beauty, open spaces, and strong community bonds that are created here. Despite that, this can be a tough place to earn a living. We get it, and we value your relationship, your time, your desire to manage costs, and your need to speak with someone who understands your needs–someone local. We take nothing for granted and hope you’ll reach out to us to learn how we can provide you with thorough, timely, cost-effective, professional services without all of the extra fees and without the disconnect of speaking to someone in another part of the country when what you’re really looking for is top-notch, quality customer service right here. When you pay for our services, it doesn’t go out of state–it keeps local people employed here.
Recycling Costs
This area of the country poses transportation challenges when it comes to recycling. There are no local processing centers, which means we have to transport loads of recycling materials at least 60 miles to the nearest sorting center. Additionally, these locations charge a fee to deposit recycling materials, which is based on weight. The more we bring to recycle, the more it costs. Much of the material collected in the Roaring Fork Valley must be sent to other cities where it is further prepared for ultimate re-use or taken to manufacturing facilities directly. All of these factors affect the cost of our recycling service.
We offer a wide variety of commercial trash cans and recycling containers for businesses, shopping plazas, apartments, condominium complexes, Homeowners Associations, ranches, and more. Our front-loading trash containers improve our collection efficiency, as our trucks spend less time on the property, and give you most space, as the containers have a smaller footprint, but more capacity, meaning they will take up less space on the ground and require less-frequent pickups.
