Bob Gouveia started KT Cleanouts™ in 2002 with a single pick up truck and a utility trailer. Working with small home improvement contractors, he removed all construction debris and waste. He was able to recycle most of the junk and debris before it hit the landfill. He developed ways to take advantage of donating, recycling, and disposal rates.

Recycling and reuse has always been at the top of his new green business adventure. He was able to find new ways of avoiding dumping everything in the landfill. Wood, paper, cardboard, metal, and plastic now find their way to recycle bins instead of the landfill. Donating good clean used furniture and appliances makes good business sense. Where Does the Junk & The Trash Go?

With our partners, KT Cleanouts donates/recycles/reuses approximately 60% of the materials we remove. The remaining junk is brought to a transfer station where they typically recycle 40% – 50% of the materials we bring them. Plastic, cardboard, metal, are all sorted, separated and recycled. We have specialty recyclers for E-waste, paper/books, tree limbs, unusable clothing, concrete/rocks/bricks, and dirt/gravel.
