TMK Announces 5-10 % Increase of Tubular Products from April 1

MOSCOW (Scrap Monster) : TMK, the world renowned producer of pipes and tubes for oil and gas industry today announced their decision to raise the prices of some of their tubular products. The increase in price would be under a new contract with starts from April 1, 2014. They are the global manufacturers and suppliers of steel pipes and tubes across the world, operating in 28 production locations spanning the US, Canada, Russia, Romania UAE, Oman and Kazakhstan. They are also operating two R & D centers in America and Russia.

The pipe shipment of the company accounts for 4.3 million tones annually, making them one of the largest suppliers of tubular products for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG). The move behind the recent decision regarding the price increase of flat products is cited as the increase in the price of flat products obtained by the company from the Russian Steel producers. The increase in price of the ferro-alloys used in production of pipe steel grades is also another reason for the current price increase.

TMK was recently in the news owing to the qualification that the TMK premium products were awarded by Kuwait Oil Company to honor them as the approved supplier of TMK UP PF and TMK UP PF ET premium connections. These products are described as the professional quality connections manufactured under the brand name TMK Ultra Premium (TMK UP). These connections are laregely being utilized in tubing and casing pipe strings for wells and borehole crooking. Owing to the excellent tightness of the casing strings, they are mostly used in complex oil and gas production technologies including drilling with casing.
