Stora Enso Declared Key Changes to Group Executive Team

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Stora Enso announced appointment of Tuomas Hallenberg as Executive Vice President of the Forest division. He will also serve as a member of the company’s Group Leadership Team (GLT). Tuomas will succeed Per Lyrvall, who is set to retire from the company in Q1 next year. Meantime, Lyrvall will continue to remain as Country Manager Sweden until his retirement.

The company press release noted that Tuomas is expected to join the company during the fourth quarter of the current year. He will report to Hans Sohlstrom, President and CEO, Stora Enso.

Tuomas currently works as Senior Vice President, Property Development and Renewables at the leading Finnish national forest company Metsahallitus, after serving in various leadership roles since 2014. Prior to that, he held various leadership and management roles at UPM. He holds a Master of Science degree in Forestry and a Master of Business Administration degree.

Hans Sohlstrom, President and CEO, Stora Enso said that he is delighted to welcome Tuomas Hallenberg to Stora Enso’s leadership team. His broad experience in wood procurement and sustainable forest operations coupled with successful track record in optimising the value of forest assets will be a great asset to the company going forward, he noted.
