SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sodra announced major expansion to its cross-laminated timber (CLT) business in Denmark.
The company already operates in the country, but has now announced its decision to establish a new position in CLT and expands its existing business. This is considered as the company’s first step in establishment of its business in the Europe. The complete offering of CLT panels along with complementary products and services will now be available in the country, as early as September this year, said the company press release.

The Danish business will be part of the Sodra Building Systems. It will meet the rising demand for CLT construction, along with knowledge development, by engaging in meaningful discussions with property developers and architects. Mr. Kenny Holm will be the new Marketing Manager for the country operations.
Urban Blomster, Head of Market and Business Development for Södra Building Systems noted that Sodra’s CLT has been witnessing huge interest outside Sweden and that Denmark is the first step in its international establishment. The production will be based at its combined facilities in Varberg Municipality, whereas all other works will continue to remain based in Sweden, he added.
