Rayonier Appointed New Members to its Board of Directors

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Rayonier Inc. announced two new additions to its Board of Directors. The board now has nine members-eight independent members and the Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Meridee A. Moore and Matthew J. Rivers have been newly appointed to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Moore is Founder, Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of Watershed Asset Management, LLC. Prior to founding the company, she served as a Partner and Portfolio Manager for Farallon Capital Management, LLC for more than a decade. She will serve on the Board’s Compensation Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Mr. Rivers is currently Director of Alternative Fuel Origination at Drax Group plc, London. He had held several leadership positions at Drax Group from 2011 onwards. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and a Chartered Environmentalist. He will serve on the Board’s Audit Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

The above appointments will fill the vacancies that resulted from Senator Blanche L. Lincoln’s resignation from the board due to personal reasons as well as the death of the company’s former Chairman last year. Senator Lincoln had asked for resignation from the board due to time constraints with family responsibilities.
