The merger of operations of both the companies is expected to result in minimal changes to day-to-day operations for both companies. The goal is to make all employees at both the companies to operate as ‘business as usual’ during the initial phase of integration. Hammond will work in close collaboration with Brock’s employees so as to ensure seamless integration of operations, thereby delivering benefits to employees, customers and vendors, said Mike Hammond, President and CEO, Hammond Lumber Company.
Further to the acquisition, owners of Brock's Building Materials, Scott and Connie Brock, will serve as branch manager and assistant branch manager of Hammond's new Rochester location.
Hammond is regarded as the largest lumber and building materials retailer throughout Maine and New Hampshire. The acquisition will bring Hammond’s total employee count to nearly 900.
