Equinox Gold Announced Robust Production Results in Q4

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Equinox Gold Corp. announced strong production results for Q4 and full year 2022.

The company press release noted that the company recorded its strongest production quarter for the whole year in Q4. The quarterly output totaled 150,439 ounces of gold. Meantime, the gold production totalled 532,319 ounces in full-year 2022. The gold sales totaled 532,127 ounces in 2022. Also, the company ended with strong liquidity, with approximately $200 million in cash.

The full-year 2022 production was below the lower end of production guidance, mainly due to operational challenges at Los Filos and Aurizona that impacted the production through the fourth quarter as well.

The Greenstone project is on track to achieve first gold pour in H1 2024, it said. It completed construction and achieved commercial production at Santa Luz. Also, it commenced permitting for the Castle Mountain Phase 2 expansion and increased Los Filos Mineral Reserves by 44%. In addition, Equinox Gold received permits for three portal locations for anticipated underground development at Aurizona.

Greg Smith, President & CEO of Equinox Gold commented that Q4 turned out to be the strongest production quarter for the company in what was overall a challenging year for the company from an operational perspective.
