19th April, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Soared on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices held steady on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 19^th, Friday. Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Also, Brass, Bronze, and Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher on Index. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady when compared with the previous day.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 2,450 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 2,450 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 2,450 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 1,200 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too increased by CNY 500 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Cu/Al Radiators edged higher by CNY 500 per MT in prices.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Heater Cores were up by CNY 1,000 per MT on Friday, April 19^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices rose by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were unchanged on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers held steady.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained flat on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too recorded no change in prices on 19^th April, 2024.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices too were flat from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 19^th April, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning edged higher by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices surged higher by CNY 200 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were up by CNY 300 per MT on April 19^th, 2024.

Shred SS prices too recorded an increase by CNY 150 per MT in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China increased from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on April 19^th, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too increased by CNY 200 per MT each on Index.
