17th April, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 17^th, Wednesday. Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Brass, Bronze, and Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 200 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 200 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 200 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too increased by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were unchanged.

Cu/Al Radiators edged higher by CNY 50 per MT in prices.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady over the previous day.

Heater Cores were up by CNY 50 per MT on Wednesday, April 17^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed no change on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise by CNY 200 per MT in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were up by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers edged higher by CNY 100 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices surged higher by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were up by CNY 200 per MT each on 17^th April, 2024.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT each from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 17^th April, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices held steady when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were flat on April 17th, 2024.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged on April 17^th, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
