16th August, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Declined Heavily on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on August 16^th, Thursday. Aluminum, Brass and Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel prices too declined on Index. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 1,850 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 1,850 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 1,000 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a down move of $500 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices dropped by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively on Index when matched with the prior day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices declined by CNY 200 per MT.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 500 per MT.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 700 per MT on Thursday, August 16^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT respectively.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 200 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were down by CNY 100 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were down by CNY 300 per MT each.

UBC prices too witnessed a down move of CNY 200 per MT each on August 16^th, 2018.

Meantime, Zorba 90% INF prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 16^th August, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices declined by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning were down by CNY 200 per MT each.

309 SS and 316 SS prices dropped by CNY 300 per MT each.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were down by CNY 450 per MT on August 16^th.

Shred SS prices witnessed a decline of CNY 200 per MT over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 400 per MT on August 16^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too dropped by CNY 400 per MT each.
