10th October, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Witnessed Mixed Trend

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 10^th, Wednesday. Aluminum prices declined, whereas Brass and Bronze scrap prices remained unchanged on Index. Stainless Steel scrap prices increased from the previous day. However, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 200 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 200 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up marginally by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too increased by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices witnessed marginal rise by CNY 50 per MT.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Wednesday, October 10^th.

Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 150 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were down by CNY 50 per MT each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 150 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were down by CNY 150 per MT each.

UBC prices too witnessed a down move of CNY 100 per MT each on October 10^th, 2018.

Meantime, Zorba 90% INF prices held steady on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 10^th October, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices held steady on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were unchanged over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning and 309 SS remained flat on October 10^th, 2018.

310 SS prices witnessed increase of CNY 50 per MT.

316 SS Solid and Shred SS scrap prices witnessed no change on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on October 10^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were flat on Index.
