Founded in 1958 by Wendell M. Mohr, the W.M. Mohr Company began as manufacturers’ representative’s sourcing cutting tools, tooling, machined components, and rope. They serviced industrial manufacturers, steel mills, and the mining, railroad and airline industries. As the company grew, each of Wendell’s three sons; Tom, Paul, and Mick joined their father in the family business.

As W.M. Mohr Company evolved, they found a niche in manufacturing complicated components that other machine shops did not want to produce. They quickly earned a reputation as the “go-to guys for difficult parts”. That reputation opened doors with both small and large customers, as they handled various projects from prototype through production manufacturing.

In 2016, after more than 30 years in the family business, the Mohr brothers desire to consider retirement was greeted by Advanced Resources interest in acquiring the W.M. Mohr Company. Today; Tom, Paul, and Mick are active and valuable consultants to the current management team, purveying their history and knowledge as the W.M. Mohr Company continues in the footsteps first laid by Wendell in 1958.
