About Company

AquaMetrix products have been manufactured for more than five decades. The company has grown into a worldwide maker of water quality instrumentation that is known for working in environments where nothing else works. Aquametrix products have been made in the United States since 2010.

The Aquametrix differential pH and ORP probes are found in the most hostile processes in industry. Where other probes typically last months the P60 line of sensors lasts years. Three series of conductivity sensors cover any application from ultra-pure to brine solutions. AquaMetrix designs and builds its own analyzer. The 2300 is truly unique in the entire process control industry. With 100% web connectivity, inputs for 4 analog sensors and 3 flow sensors, datalogging, 4 relays, and email alerts there is nothing that comes close at its price.

The Shark is a multi-parameter—pH, ORP, conductivity or flow—controller that has proven itself in 10 years of hostile environments. The Shark TX is the transmitter version and is as compact as a deck of cards. The 2300 is our newest controller and is the first 100% network enabled controller that can handle 7 sensors, 4 relays, email/text notifications, and data logging in a small package that costs a fraction of competing controllers.

Rounding out our product line are the AM-TBR turbidimeter, the 2200D Clark cell dissolved oxygen sensor, optically based dissolved oxygen (D.O.) sensor, the AM-UST-mini miniature ultrasound level sensor and AM-FCL free chlorine sensor.

Under Water Analytics ownership, a steady stream of improvements have made existing products even better, while a suite of new products have been rolling out to supply more options to the water treatment industry. No other company offers a two year in-field warranty.

What Makes Aquametrix Special

The development of the differential electrode changed pH and ORP measurements forever. By splitting the reference and sampling electrode and referencing each to a third common (titanium) ground loop errors were eliminated and the reference electrode could be rejuvenated indefinitely. As the Canadian licensee of this technology Lisle-Metrix pH and ORP probes became the wastewater industry standard for rugged, precise and long-lived probes. Water Analytics continues to make these probes with updated circuitry, components and electrodes and the differential pH and ORP probe continues to be the one probe that industry uses when, as one user put it, "nothing else works."

The legendary status of the Aquametrix differential probe is the benchmark by which all of our sensors are manufactured. Nothing gets the Aquametrix label unless we are satisfied that it will stand up to abuses in water that other products cannot. Our conductivity probes provide the widest range of conductivity range on the market and the new AS series raises the level of ruggedness one notch higher. Our dissolved oxygen analyzers are still going strong after years of use in dirty aeration basins with only a yearly membrane replacement.

The Shark controller and Shark TX transmitter embody the principle of simplicity. Whereas most manufacturers have several controllers to host different sensors we have only one controller that can operate as a pH, ORP, conductivity or flow analyzer. Menu operation is simplified so that any operator, regardless of technical expertise, can operate the controller's or transmitter's basic functions.

Water Analytics will never make a "me too" product. Every sensor and every analyzer that makes it to the marketplace is a world class leader. Everything you see in our catalog is best in class when it comes to durability, value and simplicity.

The Aquametrix Story

AquaMetrix products have been manufactured for more than five decades. The original manufacturer, Lisle-Metrix, was licensed to build GLI (Great Lakes Instruments) products for the Canadian market. GLI probes and controllers earned their place as some of the most rugged and reliable water analysis equipment in the market place. Following the signing of NAFTA in 1992, Lisle-Metrix expanded to provide products for the global market under its own name. In 1998, Lisle-Metrix became Aquametrix, and in 2010, the company became the foundation for Water Analytics, Inc.

Throughout the changes in both ownership and name, the original probes and controllers, that have been known for their quality, have continued to be made to be interchangeable with their GLI precursors. A steady stream of improvements have made them even better, while a suite of new products have grown to supply even more options to the water treatment industry. Water Analytics continues to build Aquametrix probes and controllers to even more exacting standards and to incorporate changes that make them all the more rugged and more reliable. We will continue to strive to ensure that Aquametrix products are both the most dependable in the marketplace and priced to represent the best value as well.

Who We Are

Mark Spencer, President

Mark Spencer holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has spent two decades in environmental research, research and development and product development. He was last Director of Technology for Agiltron, a contract R&D company north of Boston. He spent a decade at NASA Ames Research Center measuring infrared absorption of atmospheric species. His experience in securing and managing government funded R&D programs will be used to expand the technology of water quality analysis.

Ron Gale, Director of Technology

Ron Gale brings decades of experience in contract research and product development. He received a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering. He spent 7 years developing electronic materials at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory. He spent 16 years as Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Kopin Corporation, a manufacturer of advanced optic-electronic devices. From 2001 to 2006 he was Vice President for Business Development at HelioVolt Corporation, a photovoltaic manufacturer. He has also been consulting since 2001 for several high-tech companies helping with R&D, product development, and business development.

Sue Hunter, Director of Finance

Sue Hunter comes to Water Analytics with over two decades of executive experience. Trained as a Certified Public Accountant she spent eight years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Boston, serving as Senior Audit Manager. Sue last worked for United Asset Management Corporation, one of the largest independent investment management organizations in the world with over $200 billion in assets under management, where she was a Vice President and an Officer in their Corporate Development Group. Here at Water Analytics she oversees more than just finances and manages all front office activities.

Jeff Aghjayan, Director of Business Development

Jeff's resume is an impressive list of technology companies. It includes big players such as Avid Technology, AMD and Sigmatel and start-up high tech companies in solar power and communications. Jeff was very attracted to the growing water segment and saw AquaMetrix as a company with big potential. He brings a unique combination of being able to see the "big picture" and doing the little things that bring that picture to reality.
