Founded on the premise that spent batteries and scrap lead could be moved to recycling smelters in a clean and compliant method with a faster turn around of monies, U.S. Lead, Inc has been in business for over 30 years.

It is the goal of U.S. Lead, Inc. to move lead from battery specialists and recycling centers to smelters quickly while ensuring payment within 48 hours.

U.S. Lead, Inc. was incorporated on April 1, 1990.  Prior to this event we functioned as the lead division of Jowers Batteries.  U.S. Lead, Inc. now deals with over 650 customers from throughout the United States and South America as well as The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and several other Caribbean Islands.  U.S. Lead, Inc. sells only to complaint smelters to protect its customers.

Family-owned and operated for over 60 years, we continue to strive to be the best.  In 1947, a small battery company (Jowers Batteries) was formed in Winter Garden, FL. That same battery company continues to thrive just two miles from the original location. 

As the small battery company grew and developed from generation to generation, the values never changed.  In 1990, U.S. Lead, Inc. was formed to encompass the buying and selling of scrap batteries in truckload quantities.  This was done to seperate the new batteries from the scrap and to better serve our customers.

In 2007 a trucking and freight brokerage company (United States Freight and Transfer) was formed a to handle all trucking needs of U.S. Lead, Inc. in house.
