OUR STORY
CEO William Spire created TyreFlow because of his frustration with what he considers to be a “broken” industry. William witnessed the failures first-hand, and has designed the business to bring a real solution to the table.
William started by asking “what has to be fixed” to create an end-to-end solution that solves the problems for all stakeholders: waste tire generators, users of sustainable materials and citizens of the world who don’t want tires to be burned as fuel, landfilled or illegally dumped.
Actually solving the problem requires a creative combination of existing process technologies with new material conversion technologies that have yet to be deployed. (If they had been, there wouldn’t be a problem to solve). William selected the most innovative technologies in existence that were also ready for large-scale commercial production. He also focused on technologies that produced materials that could be direct, drop-in replacements for existing virgin materials.
TyreFlow is now in a unique position to leverage their technologies to address two major environmental issues by creating a closed-loop economy for both scrap tires and difficult to recycle post-industrial plastics.
OUR COMPANY VALUES
At TyreFlow, our mission is to change the way waste tires are managed in North America and around the world.
We are investing in world-leading upcycling process technologies and are vertically integrating the waste tire management ecosystem.
We will drive sustainable results by ensuring that doing the right thing environmentally is also the best option economically.
Our technologies efficiently turn scrap rubber into highly engineered materials that can be easily reused by industry – enabling a true cradle to cradle solution.
WHAT WE DO
At Tyreflow, our mission is to change the way waste tires are managed in North America and around the world. Through world-leading upcycling process technologies we turn scrap rubber into highly engineered materials that can be easily reused by industry, without sacrificing performance or quality.
HOW WE DO IT
Recover. Transform. Reuse. Repeat.
Our process starts like many others by breaking down waste tires into their core components. Where we stand alone is by using breakthrough technologies to further process and purify those materials so they can be easily reused in high-volume industrial manufacturing.
With our superior products, you no longer have to choose between high-performance or sustainability.
WHY WE DO IT
Each year, approximately 300 million scrap tires are generated in North America. Globally, the number is 1.6 billion. Unfortunately, more than 75% of those tires are burned as fuel, landfilled or worse, illegally dumped.
While tire recycling exists and sustainable materials have been introduced into the market, the outputs have been limited in use and lacking in performance. Our team sought to solve this problem from the top down, by making high value end products that could easily replace the need for virgin materials to be mined, manufactured or harvested.
We will drive sustainable results by ensuring that doing the right thing environmentally is also the best option economically.
