Strategy

Growth is big around here.  That’s because we’re currently the fastest-growing company in the Viking fairway.

We focus on light oil and liquids-rich natural gas in tight formations, with our sweet spot in central Alberta and southern Saskatchewan. Our asset base is the best of both worlds.  We have several hundred low-cost, low-risk horizontal drilling locations, plus a large undeveloped oil pool with significant upside potential. That means we can play both defense and offense. We can make money when commodity prices are low, and we can ramp up production quickly when those prices rise.

With no debt, cash reserves, credit facilities and a highly experienced management team, we’re solid.  We can weather the downturns, and we’re well-positioned to exploit acquisition opportunities.

All positive, and all adding up to growth.  That’s good news for us. That’s great news for our shareholders.

When it comes to low-cost, low-risk light oil in the Viking fairway, we’re all over it.  We currently own more than 125 net sections of land in east central Alberta and southern Saskatchewan. Turns out, it’s a great neighbourhood.  Our assets in Hamilton Lake and Consort offer up year-round access, long-life reserves and short-term development potential.
