Superior Steel Erectors is a commercial steel erection company based in Olathe, Kansas founded in 2011.

We work with fabricators, general contractors, engineers, and owners to provide a consistent, competent, and complete end product. Our projects range from a few thousand to several hundred thousand dollars and are growing based on past performance, quality of work, and skilled advance planning and management.

Jodi L. Ellis President/CEO

Jodi is a highly organized and detailed orientated business owner and a graduate from Washburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. Jodi has the ability to learn new things and also is able to pass this knowledge to others. Jodi has been a High School Art Teacher for over 19 years and she has been able to transition into the construction world by taking every opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the competitive and complex world of contracting. Jodi is OSHA 30 certified and she has taken the Contractors Business Fundamental class sponsored by IMPACT in Anne Arbor Michigan. Jodi runs the day to day operations of Superior Steel Erectors; she handles the contracts, insurance, bonding, banking , taxes, benefits etc...

Monte Ellis Field Operations Manager

Monte has over 29 years experience as an Iron worker, he has worked at all levels of steel erection from Rod buster Apprentice, to Gang Box Foreman, Raising Gang Foreman, General Foreman and Project Manager. Monte has worked for some of the largest Advanced Certified Steel Erectors in Kansas City and has worked on some of the largest jobs in the area holding key positions in all of them before he and Jodi decided in 2011 to go out on their own. Monte uses his unique background experience to run the field operations of Superior Steel Erectors.
