The Back Story About Us

After spending 25 years in the corporate world running multi million dollar businesses as a Regional Director and Manager for fortune 500 companies leading multi state, multi location areas, we decided to take what we have learned and serve the people in our local community and SW Michigan.
Serving God and serving People is what we have done since our childhoods as active participants and members of our churches and what we do as business owners.

After raising our 3 children and enjoying being grand parents, My wife of 27 years Layna and I decided to settle on the banks of the Middle Branch of the Black River which eventually flows through South Haven. One of the most exciting times of year is in the late winter and early spring when the rainbow trout, often known as "Steelhead's" migrate up the Black river to spawn. They can reach 45+ inches and are so powerful and beautiful.
When it came time to name our company and create our identity, it was a simple choice to use the Steelhead trout since it is such a cool thing to see them in the wild and since our dumpsters are steel and durable and strong, it seemed a natural fit.

Our oldest daughter Brenna is a talented artist who designed and drew the Steelhead in the logo and helped us brand and develop our website and social media.
Our son Hudson, his wife Sammy and our grand daughter Emma cheer us on from New Jersey and our youngest daughter Tara feeds us with her incredible baking skills.
