In 2002 Park-Ohio began construction of a new forging facility in Newport, AR. Initial construction was a 6000 Ton mechanical forging press line to supply our standard Rail Products. Our first forging from that line was produced in early 2003.

SSP has continued to grow expanding our machining and finishing departments. Products for additional
markets are being continuously added.

SSP is a domestic high quality, low cost producer of steel forgings serving the Railcar, Energy, Industrial and
Mass Transit Markets.

We have a qualified team, the raw materials available, and the latest equipment to produce products that will meet and exceed your expectations

We produce the high volume and large forgings most other forge shops can’t.

Our long-term material supply agreement with Arkansas Steel Associates, LLC insures raw material deliveries and controls material costs.
