Slopak was founded in 2002 by Slovenian companies in order to ensure compliance with environmental obligations through mutual control and regardless of the market value of packaging. Slopak provides equal conditions to all 1,700 taxpayers who regulate the packaging waste management system through Slopak. Thirty owners of the company Slopak provide mutual control by supervising the work of the company.

In addition to its leading role in the packaging waste management system, Slopak is today also a leader in the field of waste management of plant protection products and waste tires.
