Our Story​

Established in 1982 as a job shop serving maintenance and light fabrication needs of local industry, Simion Fabrication has become an aggressively growing custom metal fabricator.

1990, we incorporated in the state of Illinois and continued to grow. Our goal to this day is meet or exceed your requirement with respects to quality, budget and delivery.

We have built our business on the moto of “High Quality-On Time” this has been proven by longtime customers relying on Simion Fabrication for years to meet there needs. Rarely do all customers have the same support costs, sales costs, etc. Businesses with poor, non-integrated systems cannot determine their true, fully loaded costs per customers. We believe that long-term success will accrue to firms that capture all costs and revenues pertaining to their customers over time.

Using “word of mouth” as our marketing tool we soon outgrew our floor space and in 2007 we invested in yet another fabrication building which expanded us to 18,000 sq ft for production. With this expansion, it was time to take a new look at the industry in general.

Now as the Coal Industry declined, it was hard to know what was around the next corner but Simion Fabrication was ready to meet the challenges of the industry head on as it continued to grow and flourish in the years ahead. New strategies were needed. Prior inefficiencies, technologies and processes could no longer be tolerated as lower margins and increased competition make these unacceptable luxuries. New strategies were needed to drive increased sales, productivity, market specialization and customer insights.

By this point we are serving a Broad Spectrum of Industries with Quality Fabrication realizing that every project has a schedule that must be kept with the customer’s needs always in the for-front. Simion Fabrication combines manufacturing experience and engineering know how to produce custom fabrications and tailored steel products that come in second to NO other company. We have 35 plus years in building an excellent manufacturing supply chain with vendors who have proven themselves to be reliable and trust worthy in providing us with quality materials as promised. ​

Many people often ask “what it is that you do?” and the answer is simply “Build things out of steel.” You ask who do we work for, and the answer is “For whoever needs us” from local contractors involved in municipal upgrades to big industry such as power plants and coal mines. Simion Fabrication has been there to meet there needs. Jobs range from the designing and fabrication of a one-of-a-kind piece to serve a particular industry to fabricating high volume repetitious stock items. Design and communications range from simple hand sketched drawings to elaborate autoCAD blue prints. To put is simply "No Job Is Too Small or To Big"
