It started as a big idea in a small town, Rocky Mountain Steel Inc. was founded by Kirby Cannell and Bernie Lorimor. They spent many years together in the field, working for others, before deciding to give it a try on their own.
So, in 1996, with the two of them in a small garage and just a couple of employees they were on they way.
In July of 2000, Tim Warner joined the company. With his many years of retail experience he was a great asset and joined partnership with Kirby and Bernie.
In Dec of 2008 Kirby decided to retire, he will dedicate his time to his farm and his hobbies. He will be missed!
Now, Rocky Mountain Steel has over 45 employees, with a fully operational 30,000 square foot fabrication shop. We do commercial jobs as well as industrial. We have portable job trailers and can easily mobilize to any job with our capable and experience field crews. We also have a dedicated drafting and detailing department on hand.
