ReMix Organics is headed by Nat Harris and Leo Pollock, who bring a commitment to entrepreneurship, sustainability, and systems thinking.

Prior to ReMix, Nat Harris was the Founder and Production Manager of Newport Biodiesel, New England's first sustainable biodiesel production facility. Started in Nat's basement in 2005, Newport Biodiesel grew to producing over 10 million gallons of biodiesel per year from commercial accounts throughout New England before he transitioned full-time to ReMix.  Nat brings hands-on experience with the processing facility at Newport Biodiesel and unparalleled mechanical knowledge to current operations.

Prior to ReMix, Leo Pollock was the Network Director for the Rhode Island Food Policy Council and was one of the key architects in its design and development.  Leo holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and brings 10+ years experience in environmental and food policy, and organizational and food systems development. Leo is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, and was a Providence Business News 40 Under 40 Award Winner in 2020.

Founded in 2013, the ReMix Organics Company is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from landfills and to optimize the efficiency and sustainability of organic waste transport. By partnering with regional farms and anaerobic digesters, we put organic waste to work creating high-quality soil amendments and renewable energy. Founded by Leo Pollock and Nat Harris, the ReMix Organics Company, L3C is a low-profit, limited liability company with a social mission to fight climate change and provide a living wage for our crew. We partner with customers to maximize the management of their organic waste streams and increase the sustainability of their operations.
