In 1971, the business of Reliable Sanitation & Recycling began and has remained locally-owned and operated, growing to provide residential waste and recycling collection services across most of Wake County.

Residential Services

Reliable Sanitation provides cost-effective garbage and recycling services to single-family homes, small businesses, community centers, churches, and homeowner’s associations (HOAs) across most of Wake County. Our coverage area includes Raleigh (including north Raleigh), Cary, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina, Apex, Willow Spring, and parts of Wake Forest.

Garbage Collection - We provide weekly garbage collection service for all of our customers. Each customer will receive (for use as a customer at no additional charge) a 95 gallon black container upon sign-up, and we will communicate which day of the week we will consistently collect trash.

Recycling Collection - In order to help keep communities eco-friendly, we proudly offer our customers the option for recycling collection service. This may be weekly or bi-weekly depending on your geographical location or neighborhood. Each customer will receive (for use as a customer at no additional charge) an additional 95 gallon blue container upon sign-up. We provide all the resources necessary here to help make our communities more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Recycling Services

Reliable Sanitation is committed to improving our environment and communities by providing eco-friendly services to our customers. Our recycling program consists of either weekly or bi-weekly (depending on location) collection service. In order to provide the most efficient service and ensure that recycling is most impactful, we have included a number of helpful tips below:

• All plastic, metal, glass, paper, and cardboard should be co-mingled in the same container.
• All recycled material should NOT be bagged.
• Cardboard boxes should always be flattened and larger items should be cut into smaller pieces.
• Please rinse and clean all glass, metal, and plastic bottles, cartons, and containers.
