Reko wants to make a sustainable contribution to society. We do this by implementing the circular building raw materials chain in a transparent, environmentally friendly, sustainable and innovative way. Reko focuses on the highest achievable by investing in modern production resources and continuously innovating existing processes. Everything with the objective of 100 percent recycling of mineral waste materials into high-quality raw materials for use in the asphalt industry, the concrete industry and the earth, road and hydraulic engineering, among others.

In 2000, investments were made in the largest and most innovative rubble crusher in Europe. With a capacity of 1,000 tons per hour, we are able to convert large volumes of mineral waste streams into the various certified raw material streams.

In order to implement government policy to remove tar-containing asphalt from the chain definitively, the thermal TAG cleaning installation was put into use in 2006. On an annual basis we can clean 750,000 tons of asphalt contaminated with PAHs and use it as a “useful application” as a primary raw material in the asphalt and concrete industry.
Flat roof renovations release large streams of tar and bituminous roof covering. This stream of hazardous waste is mixed with the TAG at Recycling Kombinatie Reko and is also used as a useful application as a raw material in the asphalt and concrete industry.

During the cleaning process of the TAG, we convert the heat released into steam and produce electricity in this way. We supply the Megawatts that we do not need ourselves to the companies in our immediate vicinity.

Due to our unique location on large-scale shipping water, we provide storage and transhipment for various market parties.
