MillerClapperton was founded by Ted Miller and Dave Clapperton as a manufacturer’s representative firm out of Ted’s home in Smyrna, Georgia in 1979. The company grew rapidly and in the 1980s, became a recognized name in southeastern states for architectural metalwork. The company continued to expand in the fabrication business and in 2004, MillerClapperton was named one of the best places to work in Atlanta by the local newspaper, Atlanta Journal Constitution. That year also saw the birth of Rapid ACM – an ecommerce company selling ACM sheets. In 2009, Rapid ACM changed its name to RapidMaterials and the product line expanded to include construction tools, wall cladding materials, components for snow retention, metal roofing and solar mounting, fasteners and clamps, and many more.
