Prime Sanitation started in June of 1998, most of the local garbage haulers in the Norfolk were selling their businesses to large out of state corporations.

 Don and Linda Hoehne, who own several apartments in the area, were worried that the garbage collection rates might skyrocket if only one large company was hauling all of the area’s garbage. Don and Linda secured the necessary permits, purchased a used garbage truck, and with the untiring help of Dave Goeken, started hauling their own garbage and a few friend’s garbage.

What started out as a one truck – one employee – one hour route has grown to over 2900 customers serviced by five trucks, ten employees, running six days a week.

Prime Sanitation has always offered discounted “Senior Rates,” and we have always been very competitive with our commercial and residential rates.

Prime Sanitation started offering “Roll Off” service in June of 2001.
