TheDiamondStore.com was launched in 1996, making it one of the oldest diamond sites on the web. We began our online store as a convenience for our out-of-town customers who had moved from the area and preferred to continue purchasing their jewelry from someone they knew and trusted. Since then, we have added hundreds of new products to our inventory and are continuously updating our selection.

The name of our brick and mortar store is Precieux Art Jewelers, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. We have been serving the Cedar Falls and Waterloo area since 1978 and are most well known for our passion for creating and selling fine, quality jewelry at very reasonable prices.

We offer one of the largest selections of engagement rings, and are able to customize any ring that we offer. Our other items include anniversary rings, men’s wedding bands, earrings, pendants, chains, fashion rings, bracelets, loose colored gemstones, and a huge selection of wedding gifts. Be sure to stop in and check out our inventory as well as our website, as many of our pieces in-store are not displayed online, and vice versa.

We also specialize in offering correctly graded loose diamonds and eliminating diamonds with misgraded certificates. When you purchase a stone from our loose diamond inventory, we do our best to help you find what you are looking for and make sure the quality is exactly what you expect.

Who We Are

Dave Cutler, the owner, has always been fascinated by the natural beauty of gemstones and this is what inspired him to start creating jewelry back in 1978. He is GIA and AGL-trained in gemstones, an appraiser and bench jeweler. Andy began his career as a bench jeweler in 1984 and has remained at Precieux Art Jewelers for the past 26 years. With over 50 combined years of bench jewelry experience, our jewelers continue to take their time on each piece and ensure the highest quality craftsmanship.

Emily and Dan are your sales specialists, ready to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. All of our employees have been trained far beyond just reading price tags. We’re all very passionate about our products, and always willing to offer education and advice on everything from loose diamonds to personal jewelry care.

Precieux Art Jewelers has won either 1st or 2nd place in the Cedar Valley area’s “Best of the Best in Business” competition eight years in a row, at one point competing against 26 other stores. Our store was also featured on the nationally syndicated television program PM Magazine, where businesses that are known for making exceptional products around the country are showcased and asked to display how they create their products.

At Precieux Art Jewelers we are able to custom design many kinds of jewelry at a reasonable cost. We are manufacturers with access to over 28,000 standard patterns and can change them however you desire. With over 30 years of experience in custom design, we can help you communicate your ideas to us in order to createxactly what you're looking for.

The most common request we receive is to make or change a design that a customer has seen in a magazine or advertisement, often using better quality gemstones. Many brand name engagement rings (Tiffany’s, Cartier, etc.) are very expensive simply because of the name. We have the ability to create engagement rings that are almost identical to anything you can find, and for much less.
