A niche B2B professional cleaning company that services event producers and commercial clients, in the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas, PopUP CleanUP was conceived in 2015 by CEO Kenetia Lee.  A Chicago native who graduated from Elmhurst University in Illinois with a BA in communications, Kenetia went on to work as a professional makeup artist for the Miss Universe Pageant, the Grammys and other high-profile shows which ultimately inspired her to start a cleaning company that specialized in events.

PopUP CleanUP has been contracted over the years by many recognizable names. From numerous Nike events, including the 2018 NBA All-Star Games, Beats by Dre and various events with brands like Laura Mercier, Secret deodorant, and Adidas to name a few. Our commercial cleaning clients range from Los Angeles Metro, Popcornopolis, NPR, The Bouqs Co. and many more have all sought out PopUP’s high level of craftsmanship and first class customer service. 

In spite of the economic and social upheaval of the pandemic, Kenetia worked overtime to take advantage of all the available resources and opportunities available to minority and female owned small business owners. She was offered a full scholarship to the 2020 Minority Women Entrepreneur Leadership Program at the USC Marshall School of Business, a place in the Start Small Think Big Mentorship program, a SCORE mentorship, and was chosen for the 2021 winter cohort in the Plug-In South LA accelerator program.

PopUP CleanUP has been the recipient of several grants.  The company received a Facebook small business grant and advertising stipend, the AEO & PayPal Empowerment Grant for Black-owned businesses, the Start Small Think Big Grant, and the TMC Community Capital Grant.  Kenetia was appointed to the board of Start Small Think Big after completing the program.

Most recently, PopUP CleanUP was designated as an approved supplier of the Super Bowl LVI Business Connect program. We were one of 225 local diverse businesses in the Los Angeles area identified as a certified, experienced company approved to compete for contracts related to the 2022 Super Bowl.  We are continuing to grow by offering event cleaning services in some of the other major markets such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
