Perry Ridge Landfill opened for receipt of waste March 8, 2004. It is one of the newest landfills in the State of Illinois, and only one of a few that is entirely constructed to meet current Subtitle D requirements. This site is independently owned and operated.
Located in Perry County, Southern Illinois, just west of Du Quoin, truck access is via State Route 152. A Canadian National - Illinois Central rail line abuts the property, and future plans include providing rail access on-site.
Record keeping is a top priority at Perry Ridge Landfill, Inc. Every load is weighed on a state certified scale and recorded via a camera surveillance system. A permanent record of each transaction has been maintained since opening.
Financial assurance for Closure and Post Closure care is maintained through a state certified trust fund.
