The smiling polisher in the center of the photo at right is our grandfather, Maurice DeZutter, working at Modern Plating in Chicago around 1930. During the 40's, Maurice became one of the original partners of Arlington Plating, located in a suburb of Chicago. After retiring and settling in Orange, California, he started Orange County Plating in 1959. Larry Honikel married Jeanne (Maurice's daughter) and joined the company during 1961. Maurice retired for the second time in 1972 and our father took over the business.  Larry and Jeanne's son Matthew joined the business in 1992. A few years later another son, Christopher, and recently a third son, Daniel also joined the family business. The three Honikel brothers continue the family tradition and oversee the operation of Orange County Plating. From five employees to over fifty employees, from custom work to production work... Orange County Plating continues to serve the metal finishing needs of Southern California and beyond.
