Nehlsen Metal Recycling, Since 1976

Groninger VOP Recycling was founded in 1976, popularly known simply as VOP (which stands for the Old Paper Association). Our company was taken over in 1992 by the German Evert Heeren GmbH. During the takeover, we moved to Gdanskweg 45 on the Euvelgunne business park. Over the years we have developed into a specialist in, in particular, scrap iron, scrap metal and scrap paper. When the Nehlsen Group took over Evert Heeren, we became the only Dutch branch of this group of 150 German companies. On January 1, 2018, our name officially changed to Nehlsen Metal Recycling.

Our Working Area

Individuals from the city of Groningen and the surrounding area, in particular, can deliver their old metals, scrap iron and waste paper to us every working day without an appointment. Our working area is considerably larger for the business market: Nehlsen Metal Recycling is known as a reliable partner in the three northern provinces.
