Twenty years ago, in the NY & NJ regions, there was only one hazardous waste Disposal Company available to dry cleaners. During that time, this company was taking advantage of their monopolized market by charging multiple fees and would even charge a fee for stopping by unscheduled and unannounced. Some of their employees even demanded that the waste drum had to be filled by his next visit.

Many dry cleaners were desperately searching for another solution. The owner of N.W.C. happened to be one of the these distraught customers and was outraged by the disrespect shown to the dry cleaning community. He sold three of his cleaners and worked with the state of New Jersey DEP to establish N.W.C a company created for the dry cleaners.
