Mueller Industries is a metal manufacturing shop which develops, produces and supplies high quality and innovative tooling, metal fabrication, special machinery and fire apparatus services. Mueller Industries began in 1964 and has been located in the industrial heartland in Saint Louis ever since. Starting as a tool and die shop, its primary customers in the early years were local stamping shops. Mueller also designed and built dies for precision forgings supplied to Lockheed and McDonnell Douglas. By the time they incorporated 5 years later they had expanded into machining. In the 1970s, Mueller Industries had increased their capabilities to include special machinery, sheet metal fabrication and welding. In 1980, Mueller Industries branched out yet again to include fire apparatus service and repair, servicing the St Louis Metropolitan area. In 1984, a pharmaceutical cart company contacted Mueller Industries to help develop and manufacture medical supply carts, which continues to thrive today. In the first decade of the 21st century, following the trends of technology, innovation, and a need for their competitive services, Mueller Industries expanded into CNC machining and plasma cutting, as well as hot forming.
