Established in southeastern Wisconsin in October of 1988, Milwaukee PC, Inc. has over 40 employees, with sales and service branches located throughout the state of Wisconsin. About 40% of MPC's sales volume comes from system sales. The other 60% comes from service, software, parts, and networks. About 60% of MPC's business comes from home users, and the other 40% comes from businesses and schools. The great strength of MPC lies in the convenience of our many locations throughout Wisconsin. MPC has a sales and service branch within close proximity to nearly all of our regional customers. The numerous locations also allow our customers to see what they are getting before they buy it, and talk face-to-face with people that can recommend the right product. Milwaukee PC was founded by James M. Petr. Petr, the company President, founded Milwaukee PC in his basement while he was an instructor at Marquette University. Petr found that he could save the University money by building computers himself, rather than purchasing them through an outside vendor. Marquette took Petr up on this idea. A few years later Petr left Marquette to try to better establish Milwaukee PC as a more formidable player in the southeastern Wisconsin computer market. Milwaukee PC has expanded quite a bit since then.

Our first store, on Bluemound Road, was opened in October of 1988. We didn’t stop there. From then Milwaukee PC continued to expand bringing local support to different cities across Wisconsin. 1995 saw the opening of our Appleton and Mequon stores. In 1997, Menomonee Falls, Greenfield, and Racine saw stores open. In 1998 we added Waukesha, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Kenosha, South 27th Street and our Downtown locations. 1999 added our stores in Stevens Point and West Bend. The latest store in Oconomowoc was added in 2012. 

Not only does Milwaukee PC offer new systems, we offer repair services as well. With each store also being able to repair almost any brand of computer, Milwaukee PC offers one of the largest service & support networks in the state of Wisconsin.

The People Behind the Product. That slogan is more than just words to Milwaukee PC. In order to fulfill the promise made by our slogan, Milwaukee PC also offers other services beyond new computers and basic repairs. Milwaukee PC has its own Data Recovery lab. We also offer Internet. Our in-house training program works towards offering networking and server solutions at all of our branches.

Business and industry can also count on Milwaukee PC. From our Business Solutions department that can tailor a custom solution for small/medium/large business models, to our standings with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA, Seagate, and ASUS (just to name a few), Milwaukee PC has the knowledge and resources needed to fill our customer needs, from a single PC to a complete client/server network.

Just as computer technology is always changing, Milwaukee PC is evolving to fill our customer’s needs. We have expanded our offerings to include a Digital Media Conversion department, where we can transfer items such as film, video cassettes, slides, negatives, photos, and reel-to-reel audio to digital files to protect against their loss. We also look to the future with other new technologies as they come out.

Since day one, Milwaukee PC has tried to offer affordable pricing with local service and support. Any big box store can tell you that you need a computer. It takes a trained person to tailor that computer to fit your needs within budget. That commitment to our customers is probably why many of our new customers are referrals from existing customers.
