When Steve was a child, he discovered trees and immediately began climbing as many as he could.

The more trees he climbed, the more he knew he wanted to make caring for trees his life’s work. “You can’t climb trees for a living,” his parents protested — but Steve is now doing just that and has been for almost 20 years, and loving every minute of it.

Steve has been in the green industry since he was 15 years old, starting as a landscaper during high school and resuming after leaving college. When he tired of landscaping, he was hired by a tree service company as a tree climber and knew he had found his calling. He worked in the tree service industry for five years, mastering his craft and becoming a Certified Arborist.

In 2000 Steve ventured out on his own and founded Mile High Tree Care, one of the fastest-growing tree service companies in the Denver Metro area. He credits his company’s success to his dedication to second-to-none quality, honest work at a fair price, and outstanding customer service from a talented professional staff and crew.
