Leonhardt Pipe & Supply, Inc. is a multi-generational, family-owned and operated business that provides its customers with quality fire protection products, fabrication, and service.

HISTORY

Over 30 years ago, in 1983, David Leonhardt joined with his brother Douglas Leonhardt to form Douglas Leonhardt & Associates, LLC.. It all started in a small garage warehouse in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. Douglas Leonhardt & Associates, LLC. quickly grew into new markets by adding locations in Atlanta, and Nashville. Brothers David and Douglas pioneered the fire protection distribution and fabrication industry in the southeastern United States in the late 1980’s.

By the late 1990’s, the company had become one of the largest distributors and fabricators of fire protection products in the region with multiple new locations in the southeastern United States. In 1998, the company was acquired by Hughes Supply, LLC., and several years later by Home Depot, Inc.. During this time frame, David retired from the industry to pursue his passion for wildlife preservation and agriculture. In 2004, David returned to the industry with his son, Joshua Leonhardt, and incorporated Leonhardt Pipe and Supply, Inc..

Today, Leonhardt Pipe and Supply, Inc. is located in three states; North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Since 2004, the company has employed many professionals who worked with and helped grow the first company, Douglas Leonhardt & Associates, in the 1980’s and 1990’s. In addition to these experienced and tenured team members, Leonhardt Pipe & Supply participates in the American Fire Sprinkler Association’s Next Generation Initiative. Through this association, the company boasts one of the most youthful, talented, and diverse teams in the industry. We look forward to many more years of growth and success as one of the last independent distributors and fabricators in the fire sprinkler industry.
