Like so many other Essex County tool and mould entrepreneurs, Mr. Azzopardi learned the tooling trade through apprenticing as a tool maker before venturing out on his own. His dedication and focus on compression moulding allowed him to become a leading innovator in designing and building complex compression moulds.  Today, operating as LAVAL International, the company continues to be family-owned and managed and is recognized as one of the leading compression mould makers in North America, with customers ranging from military and government applications (a designated Controlled Goods Manufacturer), to household products, recreational vehicles, heavy trucks and specialty vehicles.  LAVAL welcomes the challenge of solving customers' manufacturing concerns and of producing the best quality products at the lowest cost in the shortest period of time.
