Lake Area Disposal Service was founded in 1932 by the Donald E. Crenshaw Sr. family.     

More than eight decades later Lake Area Disposal Service is Springfield and Sangamon County’s oldest, as well

largest locally-owned waste disposal service, and is still operated by the Crenshaw family.

Since its inception during the Great Depression, Lake Area has grown and prospered because it adheres to the

principles adopted by the Crenshaw family through five generations.
