Kingwood Mulch & Stone started as a part-time, summer and holiday yard maintenance and mulch business in the early 1980s. My brother, Gene, and I called it Kirsch Brothers (KB) Landscaping. After college, I took over the business and began doing larger jobs under the name Kingwood Mulch and Landscape.

The business grew rapidly and that name hung over our doors until the late 1990s when it was changed to Kirsch Landscape & Design and and Kingwood Mulch & Stone to better define our services and meet our customers' needs.

Kingwood Mulch & Stone is situated on our 5-acre site off Mills Branch Drive in Kingwood. Our customers meet there often to see the quality of our materials and workmanship in what we call "The Design Center." We are a full-service landscape supply center that features many materials typically used on landscape jobs in this area of Texas. 

We understand heat and humidity and the significance of water and drainage in developing and maintaining beautiful, lush landscapes. We have the highest quality rocks, stones and boulders to accent any landscape style.

Our sands and soils are the finest available and our sod mix, garden mix and veggie mix are preferred by many professional landscapers and yard maintenance companies in our trade area. We have a large presence in both the wholesale and retail markets, with thousands of happy customers. 

Eco-Friendly Recycling

We make our mulch from native hardwood, pine, and yard waste materials. We also recycle disaster debris resulting from hurricanes and tornadoes.

After serious storms and natural disasters, there's work to be done. One of the most important facets of that process is recycling, and we've been designated as a recycling facility for yard waste and wood product
