Jost Bros. has been a family owned and operated business for over 60 years, supplying quality jewelry to the retail jewelry industry. Our jewelry has been worn by celebrities and heads of corporations, as well as stars in major Hollywood movies.  Jost Bros. was started by Nicholas Jost in New York City in 1940. Over the years, Nicholas and his brother Michael built Jost Bros. into a highly successful and respected jewelry manufacturing business. They have trained many apprentices to be accomplished jewelers, including their own children. In the early 1980's, after Michael retired, the family decided to leave New York City and relocate the business to rural New Jersey

Over the years many employees and family members have come and gone, but Nicholas continued working up until his death in 1995. During this time, he not only trained his son, Stephen, but also his grandsons, Steve and Charlie.  Since Nicholas' death, Stephen, Steve and Charlie have continued to uphold the tradition of quality craftsmanship established by Nicholas. They have also continued the tradition of training new apprentices, including the talented James McKiniry.  Although she could have retired years ago, Nicholas' wife, Jean, still plays an active role in the day to day operations of the business. Stephen's wife, Susan, can also be seen at the office, that is, when she is not out on a sales call

Because Jost Bros. is a family business, we take great pride in the quality of our jewelry.
