J&A Mitchell Steel was established in 1942 By Charles E. Mitchell. He offered a blacksmith and repair shop to the Herscher community and surrounding area. Charles always offered the highest quality for a fair price. He always believed that the bitterness of poor quality remained long after the sweet taste of a low price was forgotten! That is the standard that this company was built on. This is why we will never offer poor workmanship in exchange for a lower price.
