A family-owned metal merchant business in its third generation, J Blackburn & Sons Ltd deals primarily in all grades of non ferrous scrap metal and a variety of cables for recycling and processing. We recycle all grades of copper, brass, bronze, aluminium, lead and nickel alloys. Over the years, our reputation for being professional and experienced metal merchants has grown, and so has the business! In 2006, we relocated to a state-of-the-art unit in Barnsley, to accommodate the growing needs of our business. In Spring 2012, we expanded further by purchasing the adjacent unit, which doubled our working space to a huge 10,000 square feet. This significant growth in premises has allowed us to lead the way in scrap metal recycling and provide an excellent and efficient service to all of our customers. 

As well as purchasing and recycling scrap metal from merchants and businesses, we also have high-tech processing equipment to allow us to produce end products to refinery and foundry standards. Our cable granulation plant is central to this. We pack and batch processed and segregated material, ready to dispatch across the world. By processing vast amounts of metal, our recycling services are not only good for the scrap metal market, but are fantastic for the environment!
