History
International Waste Control, Inc. was started in 1984 originally to perform pressure washing services for heavy equipment entering the US and requiring the removal of foreign soil. As time progressed USDA required the treatment method to include steam jet cleaning. In 1989, the company was asked to be the solution for a new International Law called MARPOL 73/78, Annex-V. The law prohibited plastic or its byproducts from being thrown into the waterways of the world, to include plastics that came in contact with food or garbage. The material had to be sterilized prior to being disposed of in a landfill. In 2011 IWC was approved to Transport, Store and Treat Bio-Medical Waste by the City of Jacksonville’s Solid Waste Division and The State of Florida.
