IHC America was founded in 1977, originally under the name DTC Dredges.  IHC America Inc. is solutions provider for the maritime industry, responsible for the supply of our full line of dredge and mining products and services which includes innovative vessels, advanced equipment and life-cycle support.

By developing partnerships with local based construction companies and suppliers, IHC America has successfully built a track record of serving the dredge, mining and offshore industries with advanced, reliable and cost efficient vessels and equipment, ranging from studies, training, engineering, renovations, spare replacement parts up to turn key deliveries of projects.

With dedicated local teams, IHC America offers concept design, engineering, project management and project execution for the delivery of equipment packages, vessels and integrated systems, as well as local support during construction, outfitting, testing and commissioning.

The Northern American Markets

The different laws and tax regulations in  North America do in most cases have an impact on the scope of deliveries from abroad, especially when it comes to turn-key deliveries of complete dredge and mining units.

By cooperating with US and Canadian based construction companies and suppliers, IHC America has successfully built  a track record of serving the dredge and mining industries with advanced, reliable and cost efficient equipment, ranging from studies, training, engineering, renovations, spare / replacement parts up to turn key deliveries of dredge and mining units.

In case of construction of dredge and mining units abroad, IHC America offers design, engineering, dredge hardware components and automation packages, as well as support during construction, outfitting, testing and commissioning. The Dutch sales support office is located on the Royal IHC premises and is equipped for quick delivery of spare parts and life-cycle support.
