Our company was founded in 1976 and is now a third-generation family business supplying materials to the highway construction industry. Our company is FIRST CHOICE in the industry due to our relentless pursuit of continuous improvement of the products and services we provide to our customers.

JBT is among the largest in-house asphalt transportation companies in our market with full service capabilities and assets including asphalt tankers, asphalt distributors, railcars and portable pumping units.

At Idaho Asphalt, we strive to provide a higher quality of life for our communities by increasing pavement performance. We work in partnership with government agencies, contractors and other material suppliers to build better roads, parking lots, highways and runways in the Western united states.

In 2004, we began our first wave of expansion by acquiring two facilities in Utah and Wyoming, which now operate as Peak Asphalt, LLC. With this purchase, we established ourselves as the leading supplier in an eight-state region. In 2016 we acquired Western Emulsions, Inc., adding seven new terminals to our network. We now proudly serve the entire Western United States.

In July of 2018 we acquired R-n-M Transportation, the leading provider of asphalt transportation services serving Utah and its surrounding states. R-n-M Transportation’s acquisition strategically advances our ability to better serve our customers as well as optimize our supply chain logistics.
