HSR is a dynamic family business built on years of experience in the industrial packaging industry. As HSR, we have been active in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship for many years. This is in our genes. Not only in the working method and towards our customers, but also in the activities that we carry out as a company.

We have now grown into 3 companies, with which we can completely unburden you in the field of plastic, steel and wood.

History

From 1922

As early as 1922, Grandpa went out to buy and trade wooden barrels: at the time he was already collecting and reusing packaging. First by horse and carriage, later by truck from the location in Lunteren.

In the 50s and 60s, wooden barrels were increasingly replaced by steel barrels. From 1980 onwards there was a lot of demand from the chemical industry for reconditioned drums. The steel drums were collected, sorted and reconditioned according to the customer's wishes.

From 2003

The company's vision for the future and the family's desire increasingly focused on recycling industrial packaging. Therefore, HSR Verpakkingen BV was founded in 2003. At HSR Packaging, we have focused on plastic (HD-PE) and steel. The location in Lunteren soon became too small, which is why it was decided in 2007 to realize a new location in Ede.

From 2013

In addition to HSR Packaging with the plastic and steel flows, and based on the demand from our customers, we established HSR Pallets in 2013. With the establishment of HSR Pallets, we as a company can completely unburden our customers in the field of plastic, steel and wood.

Future

As HSR we continue to develop continuously.

Today the third and fourth generation are active in the company. Together with all HSR employees, they are ready for the future.

We are busy expanding our business. Our goal is to make our current flows fully circular in the future. We look forward to shaping this together with our customers and important partners.

HSR is all about reuse and recycling. We make a concrete contribution to a cleaner and circular world with our activities such as collection, sorting, processing and recycling. By separating better at source, we can reuse and recycle much more. In this way, CO2 reduction can be achieved. In addition, you can often achieve cost savings in this way. We want to set up a workable separation together with the customer so that maximum results are achieved through minimal effort.

No less than 95% of what we receive in products is given a second life, through reuse or as new raw material.

Reuse raw materials

We believe that recycling and reuse of packaging and wood are much more sustainable activities than burning our residual flows.

The smaller packaging often ends up in the industrial waste stream, after which it ends up in the ovens. In this way, the packaging is only used once, which is of course a shame. By recycling plastic, it is turned into a raw material that can be used for many purposes. The packaging that we recycle consists mainly of the plastic type HD-PE. HD-PE plastic is a high-quality and durable type of plastic that can be recycled several times.
